Embracing Historic Annville

Friends of Old Annville (FOOA) Incorporated as a Nonprofit Organization in 1981


OUR MISSION is to promote the preservation and adaptive reuse of historic buildings; to protect the historic streetscape of downtown Annville; to archive documents and images related to Annville history; and to draw community attention to the value of Annville's historic resources.


Below are listed the projects and activities through which Friends of Old Annville works within our community to accomplish our mission.

PRESERVATION

PUBLICATIONS

  • We publish for our membership our Landmark Newsletter six times a year.

  • We have also helped to publish several books on Annville History which can be viewed on our Books page, as well as numerous booklets and monographs.

HISTORY

  • We provide on this website monographs, short histories, maps, videos, images, and personal reflections related to Annville History

  • We maintain an ongoing archival project, the Electronic Archive of Annville History, that contains over 30,000 images, documents, and notes related to Annville history.

COMMUNITY

  • For over 30 years, FOOA has sponsored Historic Old Annville Day, a celebration of historic Annville that is held in the town center, usually on the second Saturday in June.

  • The Quittie Creek Nature Park Committee of FOOA developed Annville Township's Quittie Creek Nature Park and raised funds to improve and expand the park.
