The Annville Economic Development Authority (AEDA) was selected as the winner of the 2014 Historic Building Award that is given annually by Friends of Old Annville. The award, announced at the Annual Dinner Meeting of FOOA on November 8, 2014, is given to recognize a major restoration project in the Annville Historic District. For 2014, FOOA recognized the “Town Center” project of AEDA in which four properties (see pictures) on the north side of Main Street, just East of the stoplight in the center of town, were restored and rennovated.
In addition a secluded parking lot was constructed behind the buildings and a small plaza with a new town fountain was constructed next to the first building east of the Light.
Kathy Moe and Dick Charles, members of the AEDA, accepted the award, a brass plaque, that was presented by Mike Schroeder, co-president of FOOA (see picture at right).
