Special Showing of Our Town Annville on the Big Screen at the Allen Theatre
Sunday, October 23, 5:30-7:00 PM at the Allen Theatre
On Sunday, October 23, at 5:30 PM, Friends of Old Annville and the Allen Theatre will sponsor a special, one-time showing of the well-known local classic, Our Town Annville. Produced in 2005 by WITF, the video will take us on an hour-long tour of our own town, its history, its organizations, its businesses, and its people.
The stars of this film are numerous: Jim Scott, Cindy Funck, Carl and Mary Jane Gacono, Linnea Miller, Ray Swingholm, Vicki Gingrich, Skip Hicks, Doris Flory, Ann and Dave Lasky, George Marquette, and many more. Come and learn about Annville’s history and see how Annville has changed even during the past decade – you’ll be surprised. This is a community movie, one that gets progressively better as the audience of our friends and neighbors gets bigger.
Paul Fullmer will introduce the show, so you know it will get off to a lively start, and he will lead a short discussion after the film. The program will be completed by 7 PM. MJ’s coffee house will be open and you may wish to stop in for a Sunday evening supper, either before or after the showing. The Allen concessions stand will also be open.
This event is free to the public, and seats will be on a first-come basis. We hope to see you at the Allen on October 23 – come early, get a good seat, enjoy some popcorn, and prepared to be awed by the wonderful town you call your own.
