Friends of Old Annville (FOOA) announces a new pilot Façade Grant Program to assist property owners, both residential and business, in the restoration and preservation of the facades of historic buildings in Annville. For the 2009 pilot program, the eligibility will be limited to buildings located on West Main Street in Annville, from the stoplight in the center of town on Rte. 934 west to the bridge on the Quittapahilla Creek.

Applicants will need to submit an application by June 1, 2009, and the improvements will need to be finished by the end of 2009. The Annville Historical and Architectural Review Board (HARB) must approve the proposed work prior to submitting an application.

A facade grant could range from $500 to $4000. FOOA has allocated $4000 for the 2009 Pilot Program, so the award could be one grant for $4000 or several smaller grants. The grant will be paid directly to the contractor once the work has been completed and inspected.
