547 East Main Street

This house was built in 1920 for Charles and Emma Kreider Coover.  Mrs. Coover was the aunt of Gideon Kreider, for whom Kreiderheim was built around the same time.  Mr. Coover was president of the Lebanon Paper Box Company in Lebanon.   In 1948 Clarence Conner bought the house and lived there until 1970 when Phil and Judy Feather bought it from his estate.

It is a Georgian Style House with a central hallway and large living room/library on the right and a large dining room/breakfast room off to the left.  Both rooms have pocket doors.  The library has a fireplace.  The dining room has leaded glass doors in the built in china closet.

The kitchen was remodeled in 1986. At the same time the back porch was expanded and enclosed and a pool was added.  There is also a small fish pond in the back yard.

The first floor also has a large pantry, coat closet and a powder room.  The second floor has 4 bedrooms, 3 full bathrooms and a linen room, now used as an office. There is also an attic with tongue and groove paneling and a full basement.  The roof is the original slate.
