Hoverter Residence |
|
|
| This brick Georgian style home with Victorian additions was built in the 1850s for George Hoverter. The back porch is enclosed with a louver (from French l'ouvert; "the open one"), a frame with horizontal and vertical slats, angled to admit light and air, but to keep out rain and sun shine. |
